Byzantine Glam LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Area Kit Pro mobile application (the "App") and the website located at areakit.pro (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App or visit the Site.

By using Area Kit Pro, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or Site.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use the App, you may provide:

• Account Information: name, email address, phone number, and password
• Agent Branding Information: agent name, phone number, email address, brokerage name, and website URL (optional, only when you choose to add branding to an infographic)
• Location Queries: ZIP codes or city/state combinations you enter to generate neighborhood guides

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App or visit the Site, we may automatically collect:

• Device Information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: screens viewed, features used, timestamps of activity, and error/crash reports
• Purchase Data: records of In-App Purchases made through Apple, including transaction identifiers (we do not receive or store your full payment card information; payment processing is handled entirely by Apple)

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

To generate infographic guides, we query public data APIs on your behalf. This data relates to the ZIP code or location you entered, not to you personally. These services include:

• U.S. Census Bureau (demographic and housing data)
• Walk Score (walkability, transit, and bike scores)
• NCES / Department of Education (school data)
• LocationIQ (geocoding and nearby points of interest)
• Mapbox (static map images)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: create your account, authenticate your identity, generate infographic guides, and deliver them to you
• Process Purchases: validate Apple In-App Purchase receipts, manage your credit balance, and maintain payment records
• Improve the App: understand how features are used, diagnose technical issues, and improve performance
• Communicate with You: send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets), respond to support requests, and provide important service notices
• Comply with Legal Obligations: maintain records as required by tax, accounting, or other applicable laws

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the App, including Supabase (database and authentication), Railway (server hosting), and Apple (payment processing). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
• Infographic Content: If you choose to add agent branding, that information (name, phone, email, brokerage, website) will appear on the generated infographic. You control whether to share the infographic with others.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
• Business Transfers: If Byzantine Glam LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data and guide records are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States). Generated infographic files (PNG and PDF) are stored in Supabase Storage.

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
• Encryption of data at rest (AES-256)
• Row-level security policies restricting database access to your own data
• Secure token-based authentication (JWT)
• Service role keys stored as environment variables, never in client code

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Generated Guides: Stored in your account until you delete them or delete your account.
• Payment Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
• Usage/Analytics Data: Retained in aggregated, de-identified form for up to 2 years.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-Out of Communications: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (transactional emails related to your account are not optional)

8. Children's Privacy

Area Kit Pro is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Third-Party Links

The App or Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as the App Store, or data source websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, where required, notify you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
