Area Kit Pro started as a web app: open a browser, type a ZIP code, download a neighborhood guide. That still works exactly the way it always has. But agents don't live in browsers. They live in their cars between showings, at open houses, and in the two minutes before a listing appointment when a buyer asks "so what's this area actually like?"
So today Area Kit Pro is available as a native iPhone app, published by Byzantine Glam, LLC, on the App Store.
What the app does
The same thing the website does, from your phone:
- Enter any US ZIP code. All 41,000+ of them, including rural and small-town areas.
- Pick a style. Professional, Chalkboard, or Sketch — the same three templates as the web app.
- Add your branding. Name, phone, email, brokerage, and website go right onto the guide. The app remembers them so you only type them once.
- Get a finished guide in under a minute. Real Census demographics, Walk Score, NCES school data, and nearby amenities — the same verified sources as always.
- Share it on the spot. Save to Photos or send it by text, email, or social directly from the iPhone share sheet.
One account, everywhere
Sign in to the app with the same email and password you use at areakit.pro. Every guide you generate — on the web or on your phone — shows up in both places. There's nothing to sync and no second account to manage.
Buying credits on iPhone
Area Kit Pro is pay-per-guide, with no subscription, and that doesn't change. In the app, credit packs are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase, so the whole thing goes through your Apple ID and never asks for a card. Credits bought on the web still work in the app, and credits bought in the app still work on the web.
Because Apple processes in-app purchases, refund requests for credits bought inside the app go through Apple's Report a Problem page rather than our contact form. Web purchases are still handled by us directly.
Where it fits in your day
A few places we expect the app to earn its spot on your home screen:
- At the open house. A buyer asks about schools. Pull up the guide, hand them your phone, and text them a copy before they leave.
- Before a listing appointment. Generate the seller's neighborhood guide in the driveway and walk in already knowing the numbers.
- Relocation buyers. Someone moving in from out of state asks about three different ZIPs on a call. Three guides, three minutes, three texts.
- Loan officers. Send a branded guide with every pre-approval letter. It's the kind of thing agents forward to their clients — with your name on it.
What's next
The iPhone app is at feature parity with the web app today. Android is not on the roadmap yet — if you're on Android, the web app at areakit.pro works well in a mobile browser in the meantime. As always, the fastest way to influence what we build next is the contact form.
